2012
The beginning of our charity journey started with our first trip to Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai in October 2012. Mu Cang Chai is a place nestled amidst vast forests and mountains, shrouded in white mist throughout the year. We traversed mountainous roads and understood what poverty is. We brought charitable gifts such as warm clothing, household items, and books to the children and people of Che Cu Nha commune. However, we realized that providing small acts of charity was not enough. It was essential to change people’s perceptions and help them rise above poverty. Therefore, we initiated a charity program that combined commerce and collaborated directly with local indigenous communities in Mu Cang Chai to purchase their hair, providing a source of income for the poor residents and improving their quality of life.
2015-2017
It was evident that the charity program that combined hair purchasing in Yen Bai had significantly improved the lives of local residents, particularly those living in poverty. Building on this momentum, we continued our volunteer journey with the “Warm clothes for children” program, visiting schools in Bac Kan to provide warm clothing to students. The winter in northern Vietnam is bitterly cold, and only after experiencing the bone-chilling cold in Bắc Kạn did we understand its severity. Despite this, we witnessed small children wearing thin clothes, carrying only simple bags, and some even without shoes, walking to school every day, crossing streams and slippery mountain paths on rainy days. In addition to providing warm clothes, we also gave winter jackets, school bags, and boots to help little feet withstand the cold winter. Virhairs also supported local businesspeople by providing small loans and business training, helping them establish and develop their own hair-related businesses, promoting local income.

2022
After a two-year delay due to Covid-19, the charity team named “Promise from the heart” presented over a thousand jackets, pants, and boots to young children in the coldest winter season in Ha Giang province. This charity trip at the end of the year provided new clothes to the children to welcome the spring and the Lunar New Year of 2023. In addition, we have established online platforms and markets, connecting people from highland regions directly to customers worldwide, allowing them to introduce and sell their unique hair products, creating sustainable income. Hair is a precious asset for humans, especially for women. The locals here take great care of their hair, from roots to tips. Despite the harsh weather, which is often freezing, their hair remains long, silky, soft, and healthy. We have become a bridge to bring hair bundles to buyers, serving as ambassadors to deliver the perfect hair bundles to friends across five continents. We bring trust, hope, and a desire for a better life, warmth, and prosperity for the people in these remote villages.
